The University of Cambridge and British Antarctic Survey hope to be able to offer a number of 3.5 year NERC-funded PhD studentships starting in October 2025. This is subject to a funding decision expected in late September by NERC.

Hosting partners in Cambridge are:

The Department of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics
    The Department of Archaeology
    The British Antarctic Survey
    The Department of Chemistry
    The Department of Earth Sciences
    The Department of Genetics
The Department of Geography (including the Scott Polar Research Institute)
    The Department of Plant Sciences
    The Department of Zoology

There are several ways to search research areas in which you are interested in working:

  1. By department, using the 'CREATES Departments' page
  2. By theme, using the 'CREATES Topics' page
  3. By supervisor and their research area, on the 'DLA Supervisors' page. Here, you can also use 'control+F' to search for NERC remit keywords that supervisors have highlighted in their research interests.
